ADP Senior Strategic Tax Compliance Analyst in San Dimas, California

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Strategic Tax Compliance Analyst will use best practices and knowledge of internal and external business processes to improve Tax compliance across multiple ADP products. You will work on a range of technical projects and business processes including but not limited to researching, solving, and preventing negative downstream impact from tax compliance changes/initiatives related to employer tax reconciliation, remittance, and reporting within our tax systems, influencing business partners/units payroll changes and partnering in release management with our technology, project and product divisions.

What you'll do: Responsibilities

  • Relationship Building. You will help our clients manage their business using our solutions, which could include troubleshooting and probing to resolve payroll issues. Support might also involve partnering with multiple business units and teams for troubleshooting and delivering a seamless client experience. You will cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external agency partners.

  • Research. You will continually upgrade your knowledge and skills on payroll tax requirements, including federal, state, and local compliance, standard operating procedures, administrative practices, and desktop support tools to develop and maintain your ability to support our partners.

  • Project Management. Organize yourself to deal with a high volume of inbound data and information inquiries. Ensure agency requirements are gathered, analyzed, validated, and delivered at scheduled intervals, to ensure output compliance. Daily tasks may increase during peak seasons, like at the close of the year.

  • Supports the strategic direction of tax compliance changes; supports the discovery and development of agency requirements

  • Interact with appropriate business areas for execution of agency requirements for all sizes of development effort.

  • Coordinate with business partners to ensure accurate tax system updates in accordance with agency requirements

  • Assess and validate value of tax projects and initiatives

  • Communicate with stakeholders to guide them to ensure that project and solutions and delivered on time

  • Identify potential compliance issues and communicate with product team for timely resolutions

  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

  • Deliver metrics that provide data for processes with compliance maintenance and enhancement projects.

  • Serve as the liaison among various departments in Tax and broader ADP to ensure compliance initiatives are managed efficiently/on target within Tax. Serve as the conduit between Product/Tech, payroll system partners, Client Service, and Compliance leadership, to seamlessly execute product and policy changes with minimal disruption.

  • Strive towards continuous efficiency improvement by identifying processes that can be automated, prioritized based on impact/effort and drive them to completion.

  • Interact with key stakeholders to understand requirements, business impact, and their outcomes. Collaborates with organization’s operational leaders and business units to gather all business requirements to support business incidents, and/or strategic initiatives.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE : Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll tax filing/compliance change management/process improvement/project management/operations.

  • Experience with in-depth data analysis experience

  • Strong reporting analysis and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of ADP Tax products and systems

A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills and experience to do the job.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $55,900.00 - $113,700.00 / Year
